Defining the Solution

First, the organization needs to identify what is secure to them, then start by restricting access only to authorized users to deliver a secure level of activity where needed.

Existence is the SOLUTION.

Security Classes and Categories

Every organization operates in two security categories. The following graphics provide an overview of digital activity and the security level for four Business Segments. If the security class matches, the protocols for that class apply. Where they differ, the lower level protocols are the best that can be applied.

At an organizational level, customer and billing information is Secure. Shopping carts are Classified, and shopping is Unclassified. It seems fairly logical, do you agree? These organizations have performed a herculean task locking down and securing data. Their problem: At an Internet level, all of their activity is limited to Classified or below because they must operate in an unrestricted public access environment. To cybersecurity professionals in ecommerce, BRAVO!

Security Professionals got it right for eCommerce.

That is where the accolades end.

In 2001, Authentication in an Internet Banking environment was written. The goal was to restrict access to secure activity.

The interdependency between the Organizational and Internet Security categories was never fully understood.

The place where a Secure Internet Class is required can be identified.

Where the security class in both categories is the same, is where a Secure Class is REQUIRED by regulation.

In 1995, HIPAA mandated a private Secure Internet Class. In the 25 years since HIPAA, thousands of mitigation solutions have been deployed creating trillions of ways to do things wrong as a result of a single incorrect choice: granting unrestricted access.

The purpose of HIPAA was to assure privacy; however, current solutions grant unrestricted access, assume identity and ignore regulations.

Patents

Any distributable medium (token, flash drive, credit card, employee ID card, student ID, etc.) that can be connected to any internet connected device (laptop, desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.) that creates an environment in RAM where code can be loaded and executed (the no browser portal our technology creates) is owned exclusively by Existence Technologies via our two granted patents (U.S. Patent Number 8,074,261 and 8,484,701).
